Sarawak is a state located on the northwest coast of Borneo, Malaysia. It is a land of rich biodiversity, cultural diversity, and enchanting landscapes. The state boasts of a tapestry of lush rainforests that cover over 70% of the land, making it one of the few remaining biodiversity hotspots in the world. The forests are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including over 200 species of trees, 100 species of mammals, and 600 species of birds.

Sarawak is also known for its unique wildlife, such as the orangutan, the proboscis monkey, and the Bornean bearded pig. The city is also home to a variety of museums, such as the Sarawak Museum, which showcases the state's rich history and cultural heritage.


Sarawak's festivals, such as the Rainforest World Music Festival and Gawai Dayak, celebrate its diverse cultural heritage through music, dance, and traditional rituals. The Rainforest World Music Festival is a three-day event held every July, showcasing music and dance from around the world, while Gawai Dayak is a harvest festival celebrated by the indigenous communities in Sarawak.
